THE CHARLESTON MUSIC HALL

CONCESSIONS AND SEATING IMPROVEMENTS

Looking to enhance the overall experience of their visitors, The Charleston Music Hall worked with ECMA on a series of improvements to the existing concessions program and seating arrangement.

In collaboration with the bar staff and management, a scheme was developed to expand the existing second floor concessions area into an adjacent, underutilized office space in order to fit in an efficiently designed kitchen and allow for a full food menu and cocktail program. The design of the bar and menu display was tailored to improve the aesthetics and general visibility on the patron side and functionality on the staff side in order to vastly improve the speed and quality of service.

Additionally, two new premium booth seating areas were created in areas of the second floor that were historically underselling tickets. After modelling the auditorium, studying sightlines and accessibility concerns, and reviewing furniture selections with the The Charleston Music Hall team, a design was reached that improved views, provided comfier lounge seating, allowed for concessions delivery - all without sacrificing seat counts.
